It may seem odd to hear, but pay close attention to what you have been choosing not to believe, as it may be blocking you from genuine love.
What a past week it’s been here at The Love Architects, especially when it comes to the fear that people hold onto regarding love and trust. I get it. With all that’s gone on in the world, along with many of our own experiences, especially in childhood or past failed relationships, I understand and I have deep compassion.
Today in our country and in our world, we are unfortunately experiencing times of insurmountable discord, disconnect, and divide unlike ever before, not knowing who or what to trust or believe. From a pandemic that seemed to come from out of nowhere, to a heightened experience and awareness of racial divide, to the incredible breakdown and split amongst us as humans as we head into an upcoming presidential election – in order for us all to know love, the need for awakening is crucial and the divisional behavior between us must stop. As difficult as it might sound, it begins with trust and that starts with us.
When we hold onto fear, it lends a feeling of false self-protection. We hold on almost with the belief that if we ‘forget’ the bad things that happened to us, they will surely happen again. While some of this may be true, as it is important to learn from the experiences we’ve had in our lives, it is crucial that we look at each new day as an opportunity for a new beginning. Without space for that, there is no room for genuine healing, true awakening, or a new experience to arise, so that healing, incredible joy, and love can come in.
This past week, we sent an invitation out to many women in hopes of finding the right one for a very special client of ours. While some women responded beautifully, with excitement, gratitude, and grace for the opportunity to meet this wonderful man, there were also several others who reacted with incredible cynicism, anger and even accusations of false-advertising. Some even went so far as to say “this man doesn’t exist”.
For the women who said “he doesn’t exist”, they were 100% correct. Meaning, what we believe, we achieve. Does our wonderful client exist? Of course. However, if we as humans choose to put our energy into fear, negativity, or distrust, as opposed to curiosity, faith, and love, unfortunately and energetically that is exactly what we will attract. If we notice that we are finding more of what is ‘wrong’ as opposed to what’s ‘right’ in our lives, especially with the behavior of those around us, we might want to start looking more deeply within – seeking to understand where this is really coming from. This may be a wonderful place to start some healing so that all of the beauty of love and wonder that we might be missing in our lives has the true space to move in.
So, when I say pay close attention to what you have been choosing not to believe, realize that you are creating that into your own reality. You deserve so much better.
Starting with today, find a moment to be quiet with your thoughts and pay attention to the feelings you have within when you think of those that you love that bring you joy. Then, think of someone or something who you feel has harmed you in your past or recently. Picture their face and behavior, send them love, and let it go. You, my friend, are meant to be a vessel of and for love. Period. Notice the difference you feel inside and the difference in how people respond to you when you’re coming from a place of trust and love, as that is exactly what you will attract.
Enjoy, and go be love!
